Glazed chocolate mini donuts

Donuts for breakfast? Why not?! This is so easy to make and was a hit a home. My toddler had 4 in one sitting. 😳

This recipe will make about 24 - 30 mini donuts. If you want to make them in full size, you just need to bake them a little longer. About 10 minutes. And double the amount of the ingredients to make a dozen full size donuts.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Baking time: 7 minutes
Total time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Glazed:

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Spray donut pan with non-stick oil or you could also brush the donut pan with oil.
  2. Put all dry ingredients in a medium size bowl and whisk.
  3. Add egg, sour cream, milk, vanilla and melted butter. Stir until combined.
  4. Fill the slots of the donut pan with batter until 3/4 full.
  5. Bake for 7 minutes.
  6. While waiting quickly mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla in a small bowl.
  7. Remove donuts from oven and let it completely cool down.
  8. Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze. Place in wire rack to let the glaze harden.
Enjoy! See again you next time!

Molten Chocolate Lava Cake

My first post after 3 years! Due to very popular demand, I am reviving my blog for this molten chocolate lava cake. It's very easy and quick to make, plus it's so good and worth the calories. 😍

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit and grease 2 ramekin cups.

2. Melt chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave in 30 seconds increments and stir until smooth.

3. Add sugar and flour to chocolate mixture.

4. Add eggs, yolk and vanilla and mix again until smooth.

5. Pour batter evenly into ramekins and place onto a cookie sheet.

6. Bake in the middle rack for about 13-15 minutes depending on your oven. Mine took 14 minutes.

7. Cakes are done when your edges are firm and the centre is runny.

8. Run a knife around the edges and flip onto plates.

9. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

This recipe is really rich, so opt for the dark chocolate chips if you don't want it to be too sweet.
